Day 33    

  It wasn't long before we drove up the dirt road to Francoise and Alain's house in I'Isle sur la Sorgue, a thoroughly restored stone house with a great sense of open space.

  We sat around the wood table outside and they opened some Pastis for an apéritif, an alcohol that's "45 degrees" or 45 proof.

  Francoise then brought out a wonderful roasted lamb, there was some red wine and a thick, crusty bread. Dessert was a homemade cake, almost like angel food but more substantial and fresh strawberries.
 
  Then what did they do? Why open some more champagne of course!  >>
