Day 33

We arrived in Lyon just before lunch to visit with the spry, 80 year old Madame Dalmay. She's lived there for the past 10 years with her husband who just passed away in 1998. He was the dentist in St. Rambert and after he retired they moved to Lyon.

Most people enjoy showing you pictures of their travels and you should bring some of your own, your house or town to show them. Madame Dalmay brought out her vacation snapshots of Yellowstone, Death Valley, Salt Lake City and parks in Utah. Somehow I wasn't expecting to travel all the way to France to be shown pictures of my own country but what they hey!

It was hot, hardly any wind and as soon as we arrived she brought out a split of champage with some crackers.

Funny thing about the French, when you first arrive they fill you full of booze, start serving crackers and usually potato chips.
