Now Jean was born in France but happaned to live in Algeria till they gained independence in 1962 and then the whole family moved back to France where his Mom is from.

A terrific couple, they live in a modern building that's partly supported by companies. Jean does the most amazing things with pieces of wood he finds and he's refurbished 98% of the kitchen and it's a thoroughly modern one with every doo-dad you can think of.
We watched some of the wedding video from Lebanon and Jean looks exactly like Paul Riser in a gray, double breasted suit, smiling at everyone, wondering just exactly what's going on and who the hell all these people are.

They've been married (to each other) no less than 3 times. The first time was the normal wedding in France. The second time was when Zeinab's Mother came to visit from Lebanon and the third was during a visit to Lebanon when her Mother declared that those French weddings were nice and all, but it didn't really have any meaning unless they were married in Lebanon.
I have to say, they're the first French family I've seen that has 2 cars, a 27" TV in both the living room & bedroom, and a dishwasher in the kitchen. Worlds away from Sophie and Phillipe, some people might say that they live in a project in a some suburb but they were some of the warmest and most welcoming people I've met.
