Anne-Laure, Nelly and I decided to go for a walk along the Viaduc des Arts and since it was a fine, fine day with weather hovering in the upper 70's we walked to Place Bastille to reach the Viaduc.

But this was May 1st, International Workers Day, a National holiday and there was an outdoor market set up, le Marché Paysan, with food from the provinces and a large crowd for the speeches in the Place.
After taking a look at the different cheeses, breads, sausages and wines we wound our way around the edge of things and past the new Opera house to the Viaduc des Arts. >>
