I took one look and said "hamburger… so you mean she's going to make hamburgers?"
"Yes, but with a Roquefort sauce and without the buns and all that stuff".... "ahhh, ok!"
Dinner was great, starting with a fresh sausage that we might compare to salami. Thinly sliced, it's called saucisson, with tiny pickles, "cornichon" to follow it.

Next there was more smoked salmon with lemon and fresh bread, then the main course followed by yogurt or store bought chocolate mousse.
It was almost 1:30 by the time we left and driving along the Seine I had my first chance to see the Millenium countdown clock on the Eiffel Tower. I have to say it's was much larger then I'd ever imagined. >>
